Prospective students are offered a free trial class to see if Aikido in right for them and for Sensei Chiaradia to determine whether to accept the new student in his class. Sensei Chiaradia bases his acceptance on whether the student is physically able to keep pace with the class and the spirit the student brings to their training. |
Promotions are based on a process of continual evaluation of students by Sensei Chiaradia and Senior Students. Sensei Chiaradia follows a multifaceted approach to promotions, which involves competency of form and level of Ki in the execution of techniques. Promotions are awarded in an ongoing basis. No official testing is done as Sensei Chiaradia works out directly with all his students and is in effect constantly evaluating their progress. No fees are charged for promotions. |
Sensei Chiaradia operates an independent dojo and is not associated with any national or international organization. Sensei Chiaradia became an independent dojo in 1974 during a time of much turmoil. From 1975 thru 1981 he was associated with two other organizations before taking an independent path once again. |
